[API documentation](/docs/) / OpenClaw # Give your OpenClaw agent image URLs Your agent makes a screenshot, a chart, or a generated image on your machine. Chat, social posts, PRs and emails need a link. The PixelVault skill hosts the file and returns a public https URL with a single `curl`. ## Install The skill is published on ClawHub as [`pixelvault-host-image`](https://clawhub.ai/facundofarias/skills/pixelvault-host-image): ``` openclaw skills install pixelvault-host-image ``` It is a single `SKILL.md`, so you can also copy it straight from GitHub: ``` mkdir -p ~/.openclaw/skills/pixelvault-host-image curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pixelvault-dev/skill/main/skills/pixelvault-host-image/SKILL.md \ -o ~/.openclaw/skills/pixelvault-host-image/SKILL.md ``` The skill needs only `curl`. No account and no API key are required for the first upload. ## What the agent runs ``` curl -sS -F "file=@/path/to/image.png" https://api.pixelvault.dev/v1/images ``` The response contains the link at `data.url`: ``` {"data":{"id":"anon_10jtiv12ah9s","url":"https://img.pixelvault.dev/anonymous/anon_10jtiv12ah9s.png","temporary":true,"expires_in":2592000}} ``` ## Keyless or permanent - **No key:** the link works for 30 days and the response says `"temporary": true`. - **With a key:** the link is permanent, and the agent can import from an image URL before it expires. To add a key, create a free project key in your [dashboard](/dashboard/) and set it on the skill in `~/.openclaw/openclaw.json`: ``` { skills: { entries: { "pixelvault-host-image": { apiKey: "pv_live_..." } } } } ``` The skill declares `PIXELVAULT_API_KEY` as its optional primary credential, so OpenClaw injects it for the run. Use a SecretRef instead of plaintext if you can. ## Good to know - Skills are instructions, not sandboxes. An installed skill runs with your agent's privileges, so read [the SKILL.md](https://github.com/pixelvault-dev/skill/blob/main/skills/pixelvault-host-image/SKILL.md) before enabling it. It is short. - Hosted images are public to anyone with the link. Tell your agent not to upload screenshots with secrets or personal data. - Append `?size=m` (or `s`, `l`, `social`, `square`, `portrait`) to resize a returned URL without re-uploading.
