# Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

## Service

PixelVault provides image hosting via API. You upload images, we store and serve them via CDN.

## Acceptable use

PixelVault is built for developers and automated agents hosting product, documentation, and application imagery. You may not use PixelVault to upload, store, serve, or link to:

- Content that is illegal under Spanish or European Union law, or under the law of any jurisdiction where the content is served
- **Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or any sexualised depiction of a minor**, whether photographic, illustrated, or synthetically generated
- **Pornography, sexually explicit imagery, or nudity intended to cause sexual arousal** — including AI-generated and animated depictions
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, or sexual or intimate imagery of an identifiable person published without their consent
- Content depicting or promoting gratuitous violence, terrorism, or the exploitation of any person
- Content that harasses, defames, or threatens a specific person
- Malware, phishing assets, or imagery used to facilitate fraud or deception
- Content that violates others' intellectual property or privacy rights
- Content designed to abuse, overwhelm, or circumvent the limits of the service

These rules apply to every upload path, including anonymous, keyless, playground, and rescue/re-hosting requests, and apply regardless of whether the upload was made by a person or by an automated agent acting on their behalf. If you operate an agent, integration, or plugin that uploads to PixelVault, you are responsible for the content it submits.

## Reporting abuse

If you believe content hosted on PixelVault violates these terms, report it to [abuse@pixelvault.dev](mailto:abuse@pixelvault.dev). Please include:

- The full image URL (for example `https://img.pixelvault.dev/…`)
- Which rule above you believe it violates
- Any context that helps us assess the report, and how to contact you

We review every report as quickly as we can and act on clear violations without waiting for a formal process. Reports concerning child sexual abuse material are treated as the highest priority, actioned on receipt, and reported to the competent authorities.

## Copyright complaints

If you are a rights holder and believe content hosted here infringes your copyright, send a notice to [abuse@pixelvault.dev](mailto:abuse@pixelvault.dev) identifying the work, the URL of the infringing material, your contact details, and a statement that you hold the rights or are authorised to act on the rights holder's behalf. We remove content that is the subject of a valid notice and notify the affected account, who may respond with a counter-notice.

## Enforcement

We may remove or disable access to content, and suspend or terminate accounts, where we reasonably believe these terms have been violated. Where the law allows and it is safe to do so, we notify the affected account and give the reason. Content that is unlawful — CSAM above all — is removed immediately and without prior notice, the account is terminated, and the matter is referred to law enforcement.

Removal is permanent. We do not refund the remainder of a billing period for an account terminated for a violation of these terms.

## Your data

You own your images. We don't claim any rights to content you upload. We store images to provide the service and serve them via CDN as instructed.

## Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime for the free tier. Paid plans include SLA commitments.

## Plan limits

Each plan has storage, upload, and bandwidth limits. When limits are reached, operations are blocked — we never charge overages. Existing images continue serving.

## Free tier retention

Free tier images older than 6 months that haven't been accessed in 30 days may be cleaned up after a 14-day grace period. Upgrade to a paid plan to retain all images indefinitely.

## Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
